The gusty winds will continue unabated over the next few days, with winds reaching up to 8 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea. At the same time, high temperatures are making a strong return, with western -mainly- Greece, flirting with 40-41 degrees Celsius, locally.
Giorgos Tsatrafyllias also refers to the “return” of temperatures to the levels of 40 degrees Celsius, in his assessment of the weather of the next few days.
In a post he made on social media, the Alpha meteorologist explains that the strong winds, which “apart from the risk of spreading and strengthening forest fires that they cause, they also provide breaths of fresh air” will persist. Instead, he argues that “western and northern Greece, the southern mainland and the Dodecanese will experience heatwave conditions with thermometers even exceeding 40-41 degrees Celsius,” with temperatures expected to subside next Wednesday.
Regarding the weather on December, he estimates that it will be “very good with no extremes”, while for the rest of the summer he says that “in general, August seems to be bidding us farewell warmer than normal”.
