The Ministry’s spokesperson, Lana Zochiou, responding to a related question from a journalist, stated:
“The administrative and disciplinary procedures provided for by law have already been initiated in order to clarify the circumstances under which the disputed post was made on the official social media account of the Embassy of Greece in Luxembourg, and to assign the appropriate responsibilities.
It is emphasized that the content of this post does not express the official position of our country.”
It is recalled that on the official account of the Greek Embassy in Luxembourg, posts had been made regarding demonstrations for Gaza that were organized on Sunday (10/8).
“In more than 100 locations across the country, on the islands and in the mainland, mobilizations are taking place today with the demand ‘to stop the genocide’ in Gaza,” the post stated, among other things, before it was taken down within a few minutes.
