In the approximately 100-page report, the forensic experts – members of the committee – rule out that the death of the 15-month-old infant resulted from pathological causes and identify hypoxia as the cause of death.

“No pathological cause of death was confirmed, and hypoxia emerges as the most consistent cause of death with the findings,” the report specifically states.

The main suspect in the death of little Panagiotis is Eirini Mourtzoukou, who was remanded in custody after confessing to the murders of four infants. However, she denies any involvement in this case, even though the child died in Amaliada while under her care.
