The Turkish Ministry of Defence has announced the start of the annual military exercise called “Mediterranean Storm,” which will take place from 8 to 12 September 2025, in memory of the Turkish pilot Genghiz Topel, whose plane was shot down during the Tilliria bombing in 1964.

According to the statement, posted on social media, the exercise involves Turkish occupation forces and the “security forces” of the pseudo-state, with the assistance of land, naval, and air forces. The Turkish ministry’s post was accompanied by video footage of the exercise.
