Greece–Denmark: “We support our National Team with passion – no lasers, no flares”

With an announcement, the Hellenic Football Federation (HFF) informed fans who will attend the “Georgios Karaiskakis” Stadium for the match against Denmark about stadium safety measures

Newsroom September 8 07:09

It’s a big game for the National Team, hosting Denmark in its second match for the World Cup qualifiers.

A statement calling on supporters filling Karaiskakis to avoid using lasers and flares.

The announcement in detail:

“After the triumphant start against Belarus, the National Team faces a strong opponent, Denmark, at ‘G. Karaiskakis’.

Two home games remain in the World Cup qualifiers — let’s support our team only with our voices, without lasers or flares that could result in stadium sanctions. Watch out for the person next to you! Below are detailed instructions.

Everyone attending must respect both our National Team and the opponent, turning the game into a football celebration.

On match day, we must strictly follow the instructions of security personnel and federation staff.

Special care must be taken regarding lasers and flares, as their use could result in stadium sanctions. It must be clear that, as in previous matches, any fans engaging in such actions will be identified by staff or CCTV and removed from the stadium.

They will also be banned from attending future National Team games — something unpleasant for all and harmful for the team that needs their support.

So, stay away from such reckless and pointless actions that only hurt our National Team.

NO LASERS AND FLARES! Watch out for your neighbor! Advise them, prevent their mistake!

Instructions for the Greece–Denmark match (08/09/2025, 21:45):

  • Stadium gates open at 19:15.
  • Fans must arrive on time and occupy the seat printed on their ticket.
  • Entrances and stairways must remain clear at all times.
  • Tickets were issued exclusively through ticketmaster.gr and pame-ethniki.gr. Buyers of tickets from other sources bear full responsibility.
  • Entry is strictly prohibited to non-ticket holders. All attendees must carry original identification (ID card, passport, or driver’s license) as identity checks will be conducted.
  • Fans are advised to have tickets downloaded on their phone for easier checks.
