Pig heads were discovered this morning in front of mosques in Paris and its suburbs, Paris police chief Laurent Nunez announced via X, denouncing “abhorrent acts.”

The heads were found in public places in Paris, in Seine-Saint-Denis (east of Paris) and O-de-Seine (southwest of Paris), a source familiar with the case told the French news agency.

“An investigation was immediately launched,” the police chief added, assuring that “every effort is being made to find the perpetrators of these heinous acts” (sic).

“I express all my support to the managers and worshippers of the mosques affected by these intolerable provocations,” Interior Minister Bruno Retayo wrote on his part in X.
