Mitsotakis on Chevron – Helleniq Energy: Greece is becoming an important energy player in the Eastern Mediterranean

"It is the best proof of the way the government understands the upgrading of the country's geopolitical position" - Tomorrow he will meet with the US Secretary of State

Newsroom September 10 07:07

Greece is becoming “an important energy player in the Eastern Mediterranean. It is recognized by the EU and the US,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said, commenting on the joint offer submitted by the US Chevron and Hellenic Energy in the tender for the marine plots south of Crete.

Speaking from Haidari, where he was visiting, Mitsotakis said the participation “is the best proof of the way our government understands the upgrading of the country’s geopolitical position”.

He also made a special reference to tomorrow’s visit of the US Interior Minister Dag Bergman, with whom he will meet at the Maximou Mansion.
