Israel: Preparing strike on Yemen’s Hodeidah port – Evacuation order issued

The IDF has attacked the port of Hodeidah several times in response to repeated Houthi ballistic missile and drone attacks on Israel

Newsroom September 16 03:36

The Israeli military announced today that it has issued an “urgent evacuation order” for Yemen’s Red Sea port of Hodeidah, warning that it will launch strikes in the area within the next few hours.

“The Israeli army will strike in the coming hours in the area due to the military activities carried out there by the Houthi terrorist regime,” the army’s Arabic-language spokesperson warned.

“For your safety, we call on all those in the port of Hodeidah and on vessels anchored there to evacuate the area immediately,” he said, adding: “Anyone who remains in the area is putting their life at risk.”

The IDF has targeted Hodeidah port multiple times in the past in retaliation for repeated ballistic missile and drone attacks launched against Israel by the Iran-backed Houthis.
