A total of 63 migrants were rescued after being located on a boat 35 nautical miles south of Gavdos, in an operation conducted by the Hellenic Coast Guard under the coordination of the Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC).

The migrants were taken on board a Frontex vessel and transported to the port of Gavdos. Weather conditions were favorable, facilitating the rescue effort.
