Unidentified people wrote a threatening slogan against Georgia Meloni on a wall in Turin, suggesting she will suffer the fate of Charlie Kirk in the US who was murdered two weeks ago during an event.
In a post, the Italian prime minister says she is proud to be compared to the American activist and says “we will continue to walk free, strong in our ideas.”
Georgia Meloni writes in her post:
“‘Meloni like Kirk’. They wrote it as a threat. But those who live with hate and intimidation will never be like Charlie Kirk, because they don’t know the value of dialogue, debate and democracy. To be compared to him is a source of pride: Kirk has made his life a struggle for freedom of thought. Those who write threats on the walls will always remain prisoners of violence. We will continue to walk free, strong in our ideas.”
