Two years after the death of Mary Chronopoulou, the case file is being forwarded to the Homicide Department of the Hellenic Police in order to clarify the circumstances under which the actress lost her life.

Lawyer Dimitris Chatzimichalis, speaking to Alpha, emphasized that “It wasn’t an accident, it was a criminal act.” He stressed that Mary Chronopoulou’s friends remain concerned and insist that the truth must be revealed and light shed on the case.

“I’m not pointing the finger at the housekeeper,” he clarified, adding that “a long period of time passed from the moment Mary Chronopoulou fell. We believe she was struck and then fell—onto a rug, in fact. There are no stairs there, just a small step. Someone entered, attacked her, and took her money and jewelry,” he explained.

“We, Mary’s friends, who can’t sleep because of this story, must insist that the full truth comes to light,” he emphasized. “The forensic report is incomplete and the case has many gaps,” he concluded.
