One in three French people would vote for Le Pen’s candidate in the first round of the presidential election

In second place with only 16%, the first Prime Minister under Macron, Edouard Philippe

Newsroom September 30 09:04

A poll released Tuesday in France shows that one in three French people – or a 33% share – say they would vote for the Marine Le Pen‘s candidate in the first round of the next presidential election.

That means they would vote for Marine Le Pen, who is currently barred by court order from voting, or the leader of her party, the National Rally, Jordan Bardela.

As for second place, Ifop’s survey shows that the first prime minister (2017-2020) under Macron‘s presidency, Edouard Philippe, receives 16%. A percentage of 15% appears to be received by the Socialist-affiliated, current MEP Rafael Glicksman.

Fourth place appears to be occupied by the candidate of the left-wing France Untouchable Party Jean-Luc Mélenchon, receiving 12% of the vote.
