Donald Trump praised his peacekeeping skills during a speech to military leaders today, but said conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine are still raging despite his administration’s mediation.
In a speech before military commanders in Quantico, Virginia, the U.S. president said Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky needed to meet privately to settle Moscow’s war in Ukraine.
At the same time, he stressed that the ongoing war in Ukraine is the “worst since World War II” and expressed confidence that there will be a way out of the conflict, saying, “I think we will get there.”
In addition, he once again expressed intense disappointment with the Russian president, arguing that Putin could have ended the war “in a week.”
