Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristerson said today that at a meeting of European leaders in Copenhagen, he and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed Swedish Saab’s JAS Gripen fighter jets.
“We discussed ongoing cooperation on the development of Ukraine‘s future defense, including air defense and Ukraine‘s interest in Gripen fighters,” Kristerson said in a post on X.
Sweden has discussed the possibility of sending Gripen fighters to Ukraine and has not ruled out the possibility of doing so.
It will be recalled that European countries have already provided Ukraine with F-16 and Mirage 2000 fighters.
