The Greek Community of Melbourne will host a special reception in honour of Mr Yiannis Loverdos, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, who is visiting Australia accompanied by the Ambassador of Greece to Australia, Mr Stavros Venizelos, and the Consul General of Greece in Melbourne, Ms Dimitra Georgantzoglou.

The evening will celebrate the close ties between Greece and Australia and the ongoing contribution of the Greek diaspora to cultural and community life.

Distinguished guests will include GCM President Bill Papastergiadis OAM and the Hon Julian Hill MP, Assistant Minister for Citizenship, Customs and Multicultural Affairs, Assistant Minister for International Education

Venue: The Greek Center, Mezzanine Level
