29th Athens Cycling Tour: Which roads will be closed on Sunday

Detailed traffic restrictions announced

Due to the “29th Athens Cycling Tour”, there will be gradual traffic interruptions and a ban on parking and stopping on Sunday (October 19) on the following avenues, squares, and streets within the Municipality of Athens:

From 06:00 to 13:00:

  • Stadiou St., from Amerikis to Vasil. Georgiou Ave., including all side streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Syntagma Square.
  • Filellinon St., along its entire length and side streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Vasil. Georgiou I Ave., along its entire length and side streets up to the first parallel road.

From 08:00 to 13:00:

  • Vasil. Amalias Ave., entire length, both directions, and all side streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Filellinon St., entire length and side streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Syngrou Ave., from Ath. Diakou to Dion. Areopagitou (toward Amalias Ave.) and from Dion. Areopagitou to Vourvachi (toward Poseidonos Ave.), including side streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Vasil. Olgas Ave., entire length.
  • Ath. Diakou St., entire length.
  • Vourvachi St., from Kallirrois to Syngrou, and side streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Hatzichristou St., entire length and side streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Veikou St., Gennaion Kolokotroni St., Roumelis St., Voutie St., Arakynthou St., Panetoliou St., Mouson St., Garibaldi St., Aktaioy St., Akamantos St., Nileos St., and Ermou St., along their entire lengths and side streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Ag. Asomaton St., from Sarri to Ermou, and its side streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Mitropoleos St., Athinas St., and Omonia Square, all fully closed.
  • Stadiou St., from Omonia Square to Amerikis St.
  • Peiraios St., from Iera Odos to Omonia Square (direction toward Omonia).
  • Eleftheriou Venizelou (Panepistimiou) St., entire length.
  • Patision St., from Kodrigktonos to Panepistimiou, both directions.
  • Veranzerou St., from Kaningos Square to 3rd Septemvriou St.
  • 3rd Septemvriou St., from Omonia Square to Kodrigktonos.
  • Kamatierou St., entire length.
  • Vathi Square.
  • Marni St., from Vathi Square to Patision.
  • Alexandras Ave., from Mavrommateon to Patision.
  • Akadimias St., entire length.
  • Vasil. Sofias Ave., from Zacharof to Amalias, both directions.
  • Vasil. Konstantinou Ave., from Merkouri to Vasil. Sofias (toward Vasil. Sofias).

Additional Restrictions:

Vehicle crossing along the cycling route will be prohibited for the duration of the event, except at the following controlled intersections:

  • Vasil. Sofias Ave. – Rigillis St.
  • Vasil. Sofias Ave. – Irodou Attikou St.
