Showers Mark the Start of the Week — Clear Skies Ahead for October 28th Parades
Unsettled weather set the tone for the last week of October, with showers sweeping across much of the country on Monday.
According to meteorologist Giorgos Tsatrafyllias, a fast-moving front brought rain and isolated thunderstorms to western and northern regions as well as the eastern Aegean, while southerly winds in the Aegean reached up to 8 Beaufort.
Tomorrow, however, the outlook is far brighter — with the weather expected to be an ally for the October 28th parades.
Ideal Conditions for the National Holiday
For the national holiday, skies will clear across most of Greece. Sunshine and mild, springlike temperatures will accompany the student and military parades, with only the eastern Aegean islands and the Dodecanese seeing brief morning showers.
Winds will turn westerly to northwesterly, up to 6 Beaufort, while temperatures will remain slightly above seasonal averages.
In Thessaloniki, where the main military parade will take place, conditions are expected to be ideal — bright, dry, and calm.

Outlook for the Coming Days
The fair weather is set to continue through Wednesday and Thursday, with light winds and temperatures remaining near or just above seasonal norms. Thin clouds may appear in the west by Thursday, but no rain is expected.
