The myThermansi platform of AADE opens today for heating allowance applications for 2025-2026, with thousands of households able to receive support up to €1,200, depending on the area and type of fuel. The allowance covers heating oil, natural gas, LPG, firewood, pellets, district heating and electricity.
In apartment buildings, when there is a common burner, the administrator holds the “keys” that open the “door” of the allowance for tenants who meet the income and property criteria. AADE, through a detailed guide, explains step-by-step the procedures that administrators, owners and tenants must follow so that the support is not lost.
Administrators must declare the participation millesimal shares of all apartments, in order to create the complete picture of the apartment building. The total of millesimal shares must be 1000, while the activation of the payment procedure must take place by December 5, 2025.
In myThermansi, administrators or management companies declare:
- the TIN (AFM) of the administrator or the apartment building (if there is one),
- the electricity supply number,
- the heating millesimal shares,
and the full names of those living in the apartments which are not used as professional spaces.
If the heating expense is paid through common charges, the proof number or the payment notice is also entered, along with the administrator’s TIN and the amount corresponding to each beneficiary. The payment activation starts as soon as at least one beneficiary application is submitted.
In the documents of fuel purchases the TIN data and electricity supply number must match the ones declared in the apartment building profile. If an apartment building TIN has been issued, the purchase documents are issued to that TIN, however in tenant applications the administrator’s TIN will appear.
In case of change of administrator, a new apartment building profile is required in myThermansi, where tenants will submit their applications with the new TIN. If the change happens after December 5, 2025, the fuel purchase documents must be issued to the previous administrator’s TIN, otherwise there will be no cross-check.
If there is no administrator, tenants must agree on who will take the role, so that the apartment building profile is created with the apartments and the millesimal shares. If each apartment has its own burner, then tenants submit separate applications as single-family residences.

In cases without a shared electricity supply, residents agree which supply number (usually the administrator’s) will be declared as shared to activate the subsidy.
For the remaining households, the allowance amount ranges from €100 to €800 and reaches €1,200 for mountainous settlements with increased energy needs. For the support to be paid, fuel purchases must be at least double the amount of the subsidy and must have been made between October 1, 2025 and March 31, 2026. For heating oil the subsidy starts October 15, while for firewood and pellets June 1, 2025.
Applications are submitted electronically through myaade.gov.gr, in the section Applications → Popular Applications → myThermansi, with personal TAXISnet codes. Those who apply until December 5 will receive an advance of 60% of the amount they received last year.
The payment of the allowance will be made in three installments:
• by December 23, 2025 for the first purchases,
• by May 29, 2026 for consumption up to March 31,
• and by July 31, 2026 for natural gas and district heating.
The allowance is tax-free, non-seizable and is not offset against debts to the State, giving real relief to households ahead of this winter.
