The suspect, a spa center owner, worked with accomplices who were tasked with identifying wealthy individuals and convincing them that they could multiply their money through casino games allegedly controlled by the businessman.
According to police investigations, the businessman and his associates promised investors that through his connections, they could “invest” in casino games they could influence to guarantee wins.
Reports indicate that seven individuals fell victim, handing over sums close to one million euros — money they never recovered.

During searches, authorities seized:
- €38,925 in cash
- 113 diamonds of questionable authenticity
- 735 gold-colored pounds of doubtful authenticity
- Numerous bundles of counterfeit banknotes totaling €725,450, each marked “VOID” on the back
- Multiple watches bearing the “ROLEX” brand of uncertain authenticity
- Two forged checks worth €100,000 and €600,000 respectively
- Three luxury private vehicles
- Six mobile phones
The businessman was arrested on charges of defrauding individuals by promising fake investments in casino games.
