Four people were arrested today for the murder of Giannis Lalas. The victim was murdered in Arachova on November 1st while he was on the balcony of the villa where he lived.

According to the Greek Police (ELAS), the arrested individuals are the actual perpetrators and are currently at the Police Headquarters (GADA). All four are Greek, and they are expected to be brought before the Prosecutor tomorrow.

The arrests took place in Kavala and Thessaloniki, and five weapons were found in their possession. Searches at houses in Attica are ongoing.

According to information, the victim had been shot multiple times with a Kalashnikov across his body and was found in a pool of blood. The perpetrators seem to have been surveilling him and had good knowledge of the area and the hotel.

It should be noted that Giannis Lalas had been accused of the murder of journalist Giorgos Karaivaz, but was acquitted by the Mixed Jury Court in July 2024 due to doubts.
