An explosion occurred in a water heater at a factory in the Patras Industrial Area on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in one person being injured.

According to reports, the incident happened shortly after 4:00 pm. As reported by tempo24.news, the water heater “burst” in the kitchen area while an employee was inside.

Panic ensued at the scene. Fire department forces and EKAB ambulances arrived immediately, according to the same sources.

The same reports state that the worker’s life is not in danger, but they have suffered burns and are experiencing respiratory problems.
