The Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, is holding a discussion with the President of Grant Thornton Consulting, Nikolaos Karamouzis, and the CEO of Grant Thornton, Vassilis Kazas, within the framework of the “Future Unfold – Framing the Future of Technology” conference.
Mr. Mitsotakis noted that Greek businesses are facing challenges but also opportunities, at a time when the country has surpassed several others in terms of digital applications and services.
“Gov.gr was a revolution for both citizens and businesses,” he emphasized, adding that this digital leap from basic services to more complex ones has allowed us to think about the next day.
Mr. Mitsotakis made special reference to “FARO,” one of the flagship Artificial Intelligence projects, as well as to the Daedalus supercomputer. The goal is to provide access to small and medium-sized enterprises so they can develop products and applications. “For a country that is trying to catch up with Europe more quickly, high growth rates are not enough; there must also be a connection with the development of businesses’ productivity,” he said, explaining that today there can be no productivity without the use of technology.
