Motorcycle rider arrested for speeding at 179 km/h on Vouliagmenis Avenue

The speed limit at that specific location is 70 km/h

Police officers from the Traffic Accident Control and Prevention Teams arrested last night a 55-year-old motorcycle rider who was detected traveling at 179 km/h on Vouliagmenis Avenue, in Helliniko.

According to the Traffic Police, the speed was recorded using a radar device, while the permitted limit at that specific point is 70 km/h, creating a serious risk for other drivers.

A case has been filed against the 55-year-old for dangerous driving by the First Traffic Police Department of Southeastern Attica. The arrested individual was brought before the competent Prosecutor.
