Newsroom December 22 01:10

A wedding held recently in Şanlıurfa, in southeastern Turkey, drew attention because of the large number of gold gifts presented to the bride. The bride, a 25-year-old lawyer from northern Iraq, wore numerous gold items during the ceremony, while guests made monetary and gold contributions in accordance with local tradition.

According to reports, the bride wore gold coins, a gold belt, necklaces, a diamond ring, and a gold crown. Due to the weight of the jewelry, she later took a seat during the ceremony. Guests placed cash gifts for the couple, which were collected by attendants and stored in boxes.
