Christmas Hours: How stores, supermarkets, and local markets will operate

On Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24th, all local markets will operate normally

According to the schedules proposed by commercial associations to their members, stores will be open on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and will also operate, as in the previous two Sundays, on the upcoming Sunday, December 28th.

Stores will be closed on the official Christmas holidays (December 25th and 26th) as well as on New Year’s Day.

Tuesday 23/12/2025: 09:00 – 21:00
Wednesday 24/12/2025: 09:00 – 18:00
Thursday 25/12/2025: Holiday
Friday 26/12/2025: Holiday

Closed
Saturday 27/12/2025: 09:00 – 18:00
Sunday 28/12/2025: 11:00 – 18:00
Monday 29/12/2025: 09:00 – 21:00
Tuesday 30/12/2025: 09:00 – 21:00

Wednesday 31/12/2025: 09:00 – 18:00
Thursday 01/01/2026: Holiday
Friday 02/01/2026: Closed

How local markets will operate
According to the announcement of the Pan-Attica Federation of Local Market Sellers (POSPLA), on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24th, all local markets will operate normally and will be ready to welcome consumers, offering the possibility to purchase everything needed for the Christmas table, as well as gifts for young and old.

On Thursday, December 25th, and Friday, December 26th, local markets will not operate due to the official Christmas holidays.

On Saturday, December 27th, sellers will return normally to their stalls, ready to serve all consumers.
