Improved weather is expected today, Friday, as the severe weather that occurred on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day appears to be tapering off.
Furthermore, on December 28 and 29, the weather is expected to change radically, as a cold front is not excluded from passing through the country, which may bring snowfall even in areas with lower altitudes – mainly in central and northern Greece.

On Friday, showers are expected to occur mainly in eastern Thessaly, Evia, Sporades, eastern Sterea, the Ionian Islands and in places in the western mainland. Sporadic thunderstorms will occur in the Ionian Sea until noon.
During the midday hours, the phenomena are expected to gradually weaken, while in the evening, they are expected to subside in most areas.
The winds will blow in the west, east southeast 3 to 5 Beaufort, in the east from the north 4 to 6 Beaufort, and in the north Aegean in the morning hours northeast locally 7 Beaufort.
The temperature will drop slightly, mainly in the north. It will reach 10 to 12 degrees Celsius in the northern mainland, 13 to 16 degrees Celsius in the eastern mainland, 15 to 17 degrees Celsius in the west, and 16 to 19 degrees Celsius in the rest of the country. Frost will occur in places early in the morning in the northern continents.

According to EMY, on Saturday, clouds are expected in the eastern and southern part of the country, with showers in Halkidiki, the Sporades, Evia, eastern Sterea, eastern and southern Peloponnese, the Cyclades, northern Crete, and in the morning in the northern Aegean.
In the rest of the country, the weather is expected to be clear with a few local clouds during the morning hours.
