The agricultural union leaders of Nikaia, Larissa, are now calling for dialogue with the Prime Minister, while nevertheless insisting on escalating their mobilizations. At the assembly currently underway at the roadblock, they are proposing to proceed from tomorrow with blockades of national highways and key points on bypass roads, while also suggesting that a new nationwide conference be held over the weekend to determine their stance going forward. However, after 39 days at the roadblocks, they are now asking to meet with the Prime Minister, and they expressed disappointment with today’s announcements by the ministers.
At the same time, however, roadblocks mainly from northern Greece are moving in the direction of requesting an appointment with the Prime Minister without further escalation. Among these roadblocks are the one at Prasina Fanaria in Thessaloniki, as well as that of Mikrothives.
“After 39 days we were expecting specifics. We say: we continue,” said agricultural union leader Rizos Maroudas characteristically.
Agricultural union leaders in Karditsa (E-65) are moving in the same direction. At the same time, tractors are expected to move toward Bralos, as well as toward Mourgani, in order to block the road to Ioannina and Grevena.
It is noted that the agricultural union leaders state that they are not satisfied with the government announcements made earlier today; however, they are not ruling out dialogue.
