Piers Morgan revealed he is recovering in hospital following a serious injury. The British broadcaster suffered a fall at a London restaurant.

In a post on social media, Morgan expressed that he tripped on a small step while dining at a hotel restaurant in the capital, resulting in a fractured femur. He continued by describing the injury as severe and said that this will require a full hip replacement.

According to Morgan’s post, he is currently recovering in hospital, and will need to be on crutches for about six weeks. Piers Morgan also revealed that doctors have advised him to avoid long travels for at least twelve weeks. Reflecting on the incident with his characteristic cynicism, he described the accident as an unexpected start to the New Year and jokingly blamed Donald Trump for his misfortune!
