Newsroom February 19 10:30

A striking video capturing the controlled detonation of a naval mine in the waters near Naxos has circulated online. According to Cyclades24.gr, the operation was successfully completed yesterday morning.

The mine was initially discovered on Saturday by a local fishing boat owner, who immediately alerted the authorities. A coordinated operation followed to safely transport the device to the tourist shelter of Naxos port, where it remained under constant surveillance by port police, with access strictly limited.
