Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is dead, according to Israel’s ambassador to the United States as well as a senior Israel official who spoke to Reuters.
It is recalled that Benjamin Netanyahu had stated earlier that there are “growing indications” that Khamenei no longer exists.
At the same time, reports are multiplying that Netanyahu has seen photographs of Khamenei’s body.
Iranian media deny the report, although since the afternoon they had hinted at an address by their supreme religious leader, which has not taken place so far.
A short while ago, Iran’s news agency uploaded a video of Khamenei saying that his “patience with Israel has been exhausted” and that tonight the world will see Iran’s power. However, the video is old and clipped from a past speech; it is not from today.
Thirty bombs at Khamenei’s residence
Israel’s Channel 12 reported that during the joint United States–Israel attack on Iran, which began on Saturday morning, 30 bombs fell on the compound of Iran’s Supreme Leader. “Thirty bombs fell on the headquarters. Khamenei was in some underground location, but it is possible that he was not in his private shelter at the time of the attack,” the channel said.
