Greek security services detained a Georgian national for possible espionage activity at the Souda Naval Base.
According to information, the man was moving around Souda Bay, and his movements were considered suspicious by the EYP. He was placed under surveillance and, ultimately, in cooperation with ELAS, was detained when he arrived in Athens.
What is being examined is whether the man was collecting information on behalf of Iran, although no further details about the case have yet been made public.
