The weather will show a slight change today compared with previous days, with local rainfall mainly affecting northern and eastern parts of Greece.
From midday, rain is expected in Macedonia, gradually spreading to Thrace. By the afternoon, the phenomena will extend to the northern Aegean islands and the Sporades.
Local showers may also occur in Thessaly, while by evening parts of eastern Central Greece could be affected, particularly Fthiotida, Boeotia and Evia.
However, these phenomena will generally be brief and localized, mainly in the form of showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms.
Winds in the Ionian Sea will blow from the northwest at up to 4 Beaufort, while in the Aegean they will reach 5 Beaufort, mainly in the southern parts of the sea.
Temperatures in northern Greece will reach around 15°C at midday, while in central and southern mainland areas they will reach 19–20°C.
In the Ionian islands, maximum temperatures will reach 17–18°C, while in Crete and the Dodecanese they will reach 18–19°C.
In Attica, the weather will generally be good with a few clouds. The temperature will reach 18°C, while winds in the Saronic Gulf will not exceed 3–4 Beaufort.

In Thessaloniki, cloud cover will increase during the day and around midday brief local showers may occur, mainly in the eastern parts of Central Macedonia. Winds will blow north-west at 3–4 Beaufort.
Friday’s Weather
Early Friday morning, light local rain is expected in the northern and central Aegean, as well as in areas of Magnesia, Evia and the Sporades, although it will quickly clear.
By the evening, another brief passage of rain in Thrace cannot be ruled out.
Temperatures will remain at similar levels, again reaching 19–20°C in mainland areas. However, from Friday evening winds in the northern Aegean will strengthen to 6–7 Beaufort.
Weekend Weather Forecast
During the weekend, northerly winds in the Aegean will reach 7–8 Beaufort, leading to lower temperatures mainly east of the Pindus mountain range.
As a result, Attica will see maximum temperatures of 13–14°C, with similar temperatures in northern Greece.

In contrast, west of the Pindus, temperatures will remain significantly higher, reaching 19–21°C.
On Saturday, some temporary showers are expected mainly in eastern Thessaly and eastern Central Greece, though the phenomena will weaken by midday.
On Sunday, the weather will improve across the country, with generally clear conditions nationwide.
