Antipollution is moving forward with a significant investment aimed at strengthening environmental infrastructure in Greece through the development of a new advanced hazardous waste management facility in Ritsona.
The new installation incorporates modern processing and material recovery technologies and has been designed to handle complex and demanding waste streams originating from industry, shipping, and the energy sector.
The investment forms part of the group’s broader strategy to expand environmental infrastructure and aims to deliver integrated waste management solutions that meet the increasingly stringent environmental compliance requirements of modern industry.
The facility will cover the entire environmental services value chain — from waste collection and transportation to treatment, resource recovery, and safe final disposal — providing a comprehensive infrastructure for the management of challenging industrial waste streams.
The Ritsona facility is expected to support key sectors of the economy, including shipping, refineries, energy, energy infrastructure, logistics hubs, and large industrial operations.
Through advanced treatment processes, complex hazardous waste streams can be converted into alternative fuels or secondary raw materials, contributing to the reduction of the environmental footprint of industrial production and supporting the development of the circular economy.
Antipollution, a member of the international V Group (Vasileiadis Group of Companies), has developed an integrated network of environmental services that support critical shipping and industrial activities across strategic hubs in the Mediterranean region.
According to the Chairman of V Group, Vyron Vasileiadis:
“The new facility in Ritsona represents a strategic investment in advanced hazardous waste management technologies. Our objective is to develop modern environmental infrastructure capable of handling the most complex industrial waste streams, offering reliable solutions for the shipping, energy, and heavy industry sectors.
Through continued investment in technology and expertise, we are strengthening Antipollution’s ability to support the transition towards a more sustainable and efficient model of industrial production.”
The investment in Ritsona is part of a broader environmental infrastructure development program by the group, responding to the growing needs of the energy transition, shipping, and industrial sectors for modern waste management solutions.
