Celebrations for Greek Independence Day across the country will take place with cloudiness, local rain, and increased concentrations of African dust.

The phenomena mainly affect Crete, where rain and thunderstorms may be locally intense.

In western and northern parts of the country, a few clouds are expected, temporarily increasing until the afternoon, after which the weather will become almost clear. In the rest of Greece, cloudiness and local rain are expected—mainly in eastern mainland areas and the Aegean Sea—as well as thunderstorms in Crete, the Cyclades, the Dodecanese, and in the morning in Euboea.

After midday, the weather will improve, with phenomena limited to the southern islands. Light snowfall will occur in mountainous mainland areas until noon. Winds will blow from northern directions at 4 to 6 Beaufort, reaching up to 8 in the Aegean, weakening from the afternoon. Temperatures will range between 16 and 20°C, with a slight increase.
