PASOK is returning to internal competition following its Congress for the election of the new Central Committee.

The presidential camp retained a clear majority. However, from around 11th place onward in the overall ranking of the 271 elected members, candidates backed by Manolis Christodoulakis began to make a strong showing, reflecting the reach of his network among Congress delegates nationwide.

The alliance between Pavlos Geroulanos and Michalis Katrinis also left a distinct imprint on the final map of elected members, while Charis Doukas secured the election of several executives, mainly from the Attica region.

Karchimakis First to Break 1,000 Votes

Lefteris Karchimakis topped the list, becoming the only candidate to surpass the 1,000-vote mark, with 1,018 votes. Representing a younger generation within PASOK, he was elected to the Central Committee for the first time, demonstrating broad appeal across party audiences and strong support in Crete, where he had previously run as a candidate in the 2024 European elections.

In second place came Thanasis Glavinas from Thessaloniki, a former party spokesperson and member of the Political Centre, with 898 votes.

Anna Diamantopoulou, head of political planning, ranked third with 880 votes, receiving support from the presidential camp and beyond, while also emerging as the top-ranking female candidate.

They were followed by Kostas Papadimitriou and Sotiris Papageorgiou, with 846 and 818 votes respectively.

In sixth place was the current party spokesperson, Kostas Tsoukalas (774 votes), while seventh was Christos Kaklamanis, a close associate of party leader Nikos Androulakis, with 759 votes.

The top ten was completed by Vassilis Skountis (711 votes) and actor Michalis Aerakis (703 votes).

Strong Showing from Christodoulakis Camp

In 11th place, with 702 votes, was former MP and current Mayor of Minoa Pediada Vassilis Kegeroglou, historically associated with the late Fofi Gennimata and now politically aligned with Christodoulakis.

Also ranking high from the same camp were former finance minister Philippos Sachinidis, Elisabeth Feloni, and former MP Tonia Antoniou.

According to sources close to Christodoulakis, his πλευρά secured 74 out of 271 seats (approximately 28%) in the new Central Committee. Beyond the prominent names, dozens of candidates affiliated with the “Change+” platform were elected, including Stefanos Michalakos, Apostolos Ratopoulos, Giorgos Anagnostou, Manolis Annetes, Stavroula Dimou, Vasia Anastasiou, Pantelis Kamas, Grigoris Katsilas, Maria Dimitrakopoulou-Siouna, Dimitris Kourogiorgas, Michalis Kordalis, and Roula Karkani.

Geroulanos–Katrinis Alliance and Doukas Camp

The Geroulanos–Katrinis alliance also recorded a strong result, electing more than 50 members, according to their estimates. Among those elected are Efi Chalatsi, Euris Evriviadis, lawyer Argyris Argyriadis, Giorgos Petroulakis, Kostas Pasta, Kostas Vardavas, Evripidis Eleftheriadis, Manolis Petrakis, Katerina Afxentiou, and Konstantina Anterioti.

Associates of Michalis Katrinis estimate that around 20 members were elected, including Thodoris Lolos, Stavros Vavias, Christina Aliri, Antonis Pittaras, Giorgos Douskas, Dimitra Veslemes, Dimitris Demetriou, Haris Kondylis, Gianna Tsichli, and Spyros Fragkos.

The camp of Charis Doukas secured the election of several figures, including deputy mayor Roxani Bei, Kostas Pandi, and Lazaros Karaoulis.

At the same time, figures close to Pavlos Christidis are also reported to have been elected in alignment with the presidential side.
