The death of Majid Hademi, head of the intelligence services of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, has been announced by the country’s state media.
According to the same reports, Hademi was killed in a U.S.–Israeli airstrike.
Major General Hademi was killed in Iran “at dawn” today, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement released through the Fars news agency.
Details regarding the funeral of the Iranian general will be announced at a later stage, the statement added.
Hademi had served as head of both the Intelligence Protection Organization and the Intelligence Organization of the Revolutionary Guards.
