With spring weather and temperatures that will locally exceed 25 degrees Celsius, the first days of Holy Week will pass, according to meteorologists Klearchos Marousakis and Sakis Arnaoutoglou. However, as we approach Easter, increased instability is expected, mainly in the central and northern regions, with a drop in temperature and rainfall that does not seem to significantly affect the Resurrection.

Spring temperatures until Good Wednesday

Holy Week begins with good weather conditions in most parts of the country, with the mercury reaching as high as 25 degrees Celsius locally.

According to Klearchos Marousakis, the weather will remain mild and spring-like, with temperatures above normal for the season, until the middle of the week.

As Sakis Arnaoutoglou said, the Great Tuesday will pass without significant phenomena, while on Great Wednesday the weather starts with good conditions, but from noon the chances of local showers increase, mainly in Thessaly, in the north of Attica and in the Peloponnese.

Lower temperatures and more clouds on Thursday

Rainfall is forecast mainly in the eastern part of the country, affecting areas such as Thessaly, Chalkidiki, Attica, and parts of Crete.

Stability on Good Friday – Resurrection without particular problems

Rains are expected both on Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday, in places with greater intensity, mainly in western, central and northern Greece.

On the contrary, better weather conditions are expected in the Cyclades, the Dodecanese and Crete, where the phenomena will be more limited.

The instability seems to be maintained on Easter Monday, with the phenomena gradually weakening.

Local clouds are expected mainly in the continental parts. Possibility of local rain mainly in parts of Thrace.

The temperature will range in Western Macedonia from 3 to 21 degrees Celsius, in the rest of Macedonia and Thrace from 5 to 25 degrees Celsius, in Thessaly from 5 to 25 degrees Celsius, in Epirus from 4 to 21 degrees Celsius, in the rest of the mainland from 3 to 23 degrees Celsius, in the Ionian Islands from 7 to 20-21 degrees Celsius and in the Aegean islands and Crete from 6 to 21 degrees Celsius.

In the Ionian Sea, the winds will blow generally northwest with intensities up to 4-5 Beaufort. In the Aegean Sea, the winds will generally blow west-northwest with intensities up to 5 Beaufort, while in the Northeastern Aegean Sea, the winds will blow southwest with intensities up to 2-3 Beaufort. In the Corinthian Sea, there is a possibility that the northwest winds will reach up to 6 Beaufort at times and locally.

In the prefecture of Attica generally clear weather is expected. The winds will blow generally westerly with intensities up to 3-4 Beaufort. The temperature will range from 12 to 23-24 degrees Celsius.

In Thessaloniki, generally clear weather is expected. The winds will blow from northwestern directions with intensities up to 2-3 Beaufort. The temperature will range from 13 to 23-25 degrees Celsius.

The weather on Wednesday, 08-04-2026

In the Ionian Sea, the western mainland and the southern Aegean Sea generally have clear weather with a few local clouds in the mainland and Crete in the midday and afternoon hours, with occasional rain mainly in the mountains of Epirus. In the rest of the country, initially almost clear weather with local clouds in the north, which will quickly expand to the rest of the country, with local showers or occasional rain showers in the mainland in the midday and afternoon hours. Visibility will be locally limited in the west in the morning hours.

Winds will blow west northwest 4 to 6 and in the east and south of the sea locally 7 Beaufort. At noon in the northeast, they will turn to east northeast locally up to 5 Beaufort.

In the west, generally clear weather, with a few clouds in the midday and afternoon hours on the mainland. In the rest of the country, a few clouds, partly cloudy, and partly cloudy with local showers until late afternoon. Visibility in the west will be locally limited in the morning and evening hours, and fog will probably form in places.

Winds will blow from the north 3 to 5 Beaufort and in the sea locally up to 6 Beaufort.

The temperature will drop slightly and, in most areas of the country, will return to normal for the season.

The weather on Good Friday, 10-04-2026

In the northeast, partly cloudy with occasional local showers. In the rest of the country, initially almost clear weather with a few clouds that will gradually increase from noon and in the evening in the north. There will be local showers, and at night, possibly isolated thunderstorms. Visibility in the morning hours on the mainland will be locally limited.

Winds will blow from the north from 3 to 5 and in the sea locally up to 6 Beaufort. Gradually from the west, they will turn to the southeast with the same intensity.

The temperature will not change significantly.

The weather on Holy Saturday, 11-04-2026

In the central and northern continents increasing clouds with showers and possibly thunderstorms in places. In the rest of the continent a few clouds that will gradually increase and local showers. Snowfall will occur in the northern mountains. Visibility on the continents will be locally limited.

Winds will blow south southeast 4 to 6, in the sea 7, and locally in the Aegean up to 8 Beaufort. Gradually, the west will weaken. The temperature will rise in the south.
