A Greek-owned ship under the Liberian flag has been hit 15 nautical miles northwest of the coast of Oman.

The UK Maritime Transport Safety Office, UKMTO, said earlier that the captain of the container ship reported that a Revolutionary Guards speedboat opened fire, causing “severe damage” to the bridge without prior radio warning.

According to the UKMTO statement, there was no fire on board, and all crew members are unharmed.
