Police officers from the Rethymno Crime Investigation and Detection Sub-Directorate have solved seven cases involving the theft of electric scooters in areas of the Municipality of Rethymno.

According to police, following a thorough investigation, preliminary inquiry and use of evidence, a minor was identified and a case file was formed against him for theft.

The investigation found that the minor, together with another unidentified individual, allegedly committed seven electric scooter thefts, either jointly or separately, between May 9 and May 11, 2026.

As the investigation progressed, the stolen scooters were located by police and returned to their owners.

The preliminary investigation into the case is continuing by the Rethymno Crime Investigation and Detection Sub-Directorate.
