The overall trend of a broad realignment of balances across the opposition spectrum was confirmed by the GPO poll presented in the main news bulletin of Star TV. With 28.6% in the estimated vote, New Democracy maintains a comfortable lead of 13.5 points over ELAS of Alexis Tsipras, which is at 15.1%. In third place, with 12.4% (down from 15.9% at the end of April), is PASOK, holding a 1.9-point lead over the “Elpida” of Maria Karystianou.

For the prime minister position, Kyriakos Mitsotakis receives 26.3%, Alexis Tsipras 15.1%, and Nikos Androulakis 8.2%, followed by Kyriakos Velopoulos and Maria Karystianou with 7.3% and 7.1% respectively. Hellenic Solution loses 1.3 points and stands at 8.9%. Course of Freedom drops to 4.7%, while Communist Party of Greece (KKE) falls to 8.6% from 10%. All other parties remain outside Parliament.

Regarding which party could serve as an alternative governing proposal, ELAS receives 15.2% and PASOK 12.4%, the same as in vote estimation. They are followed at the same level, 7.8%, by Hellenic Solution and “Elpida.” It is noted that for the next national election, 27.5% want a government led by New Democracy with Mitsotakis as Prime Minister, while 69.1% prefer “another government.”

Two-thirds of SYRIZA voters and one-third of the New Left are absorbed by Alexis Tsipras, who also takes 5.1% from PASOK voters and 3% from New Democracy. He also attracts about one-tenth of voters from Course of Freedom and MeRA25.

On the other hand, Maria Karystianou draws support from across the spectrum, though in smaller shares: 25% from Voice of Reason, 25.7% from Niki, 13.2% from Hellenic Solution, 12.1% from Course of Freedom, 8.5% from KKE, 3.8% from PASOK, and 3.4% from New Democracy.
