The funeral service for the late Deputy Minister of Environment will be held at 13:00 at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Apostle Paul, while the body has been lying in state at the church since 10:00 in the morning.

After the ceremony, the burial will take place in his hometown, Chiliomodi in Corinthia.

Among those expected to attend the funeral are Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Antonis Samaras.

Nikos Tagaras served as Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy in the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis from August 5, 2020 until his death, and also served as Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy in the government of Antonis Samaras.
