Grief has been caused in Chania, Crete has caused great sadness, 41-year-old Anna Leipsaki, who was found dead yesterday in Sougia. The news has shocked her family, her loved ones, and everyone who knew her.
Immediately after she was found, the Kantanos Health Center was notified, and an ambulance rushed to the scene to transport the woman. She was then transported to the Chania General Hospital, where doctors confirmed her death.
The exact cause of death is expected to be determined by the scheduled forensic and laboratory examinations. According to the information available so far, there are no indications of foul play.
As reported by neakriti.gr, Anna Leipsaki was the daughter of the former president of the Chania Nautical Club, Dimitris Leipsakis, and the sister of the Club’s coach, Sebastian Leipsakis.
The Chania Nautical Club, expressing its deep sorrow over her untimely passing, convened an emergency Board of Directors meeting and issued a resolution.
In accordance with the Board of Directors’ decision, the Club extended its sincere and heartfelt condolences to Dimitris Leipsakis, Sebastian Leipsakis, as well as to all members of the family and loved ones of the deceased.
At the same time, it was decided to lay a wreath in her memory and for a delegation from the Board of Directors to attend the funeral service.
“Our thoughts are with her family, to whom we wish strength, courage, and good health as they face this great ordeal,” reads, among other things, the message of condolence from the Chania Nautical Club.
