Skies will remain mostly clear across Greece today, with temperatures rising slightly and reaching up to 36°C in some areas. However, temporary cloud cover will develop over the mainland during the afternoon, bringing localized showers and isolated thunderstorms over mountainous areas. From the evening onwards, unstable weather will spread mainly across Macedonia, Thrace, and eastern Thessaly, with local rain and thunderstorms.

Macedonia and Thrace

Weather will be mostly sunny, with temporary cloud build-up during the afternoon, particularly over mountainous areas, where localized showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected. Cloud cover will increase again in the evening, bringing local rain and isolated thunderstorms, mainly to central and eastern Macedonia.

• Winds: Light and variable, becoming southerly up to 3 Beaufort in the afternoon.
• Temperature: 20°C to 34°C, locally reaching 35°C in central Macedonia.

Ionian Islands, Epirus, Western Central Greece, Western Peloponnese

Generally sunny conditions, with temporary afternoon cloud over the mainland. Local showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected in mountainous areas.

• Temperature: 21°C to 34°C, locally up to 35°C inland.

Thessaly, Eastern Central Greece, Evia, Eastern Peloponnese

Mostly sunny, with temporary afternoon cloud over inland areas and isolated showers in the mountains. During the evening, cloud cover will increase over eastern Thessaly, bringing local rainfall.

Cyclades and Crete

Sunny weather, with a few temporary afternoon clouds over the mountains of Crete.

Eastern Aegean Islands and Dodecanese

Sunny throughout the day.

Attica

Mostly sunny, with temporary afternoon cloud. Local showers are possible over the western and northern mountains.

Thessaloniki

A few clouds will increase during the afternoon, with possible showers or isolated thunderstorms over the surrounding hills. Rain may spread to the city later in the evening.

Forecast for Thursday

A temporary deterioration in the weather is expected on Thursday, with rain and scattered thunderstorms affecting central and eastern Macedonia, Thrace, Thessaly, the Sporades, and the northeastern Aegean from early in the day. Showers will spread to Evia and eastern Central Greece by late morning before gradually easing during the evening.

Elsewhere, weather will remain mostly sunny, although brief afternoon showers are possible over the mountains of Epirus, western Central Greece, the Peloponnese, and Crete.

• Winds: West to northwest, 3–5 Beaufort in western Greece; north to northeast, 4–6 Beaufort in the east.
• Temperature: Slightly lower maximum temperatures in eastern Greece, with highs of 30–32°C across northern mainland Greece and the islands, and 32–34°C elsewhere on the mainland.
