A video documenting the fire that broke out this morning at a business in Aspropyrgos, Attica, has come to light, causing an alert among the Fire Service.
As became known earlier, due to the fire that broke out at a spare parts business at the intersection of Megaridos and Chios streets, a total of 11 people were injured.
According to an official update, six people were transferred to Thriasio Hospital. Two of them are intubated and in serious condition. Three have minor injuries and may possibly be discharged during the day. One person has already left the hospital.
At the same time, five people are being treated at Attikon Hospital, one of whom is intubated in serious condition and is expected to be transferred to the burns unit of KAT Hospital. Four other people arrived at the hospital on their own with respiratory problems.
According to initial information, four businesses were damaged by the fire.
Fire continues at a business in Aspropyrgos
The fire broke out under circumstances that remain unknown so far, and strong Fire Service forces rushed to the scene from the first moment.
According to an official update, the fire was contained shortly before 1:30 p.m.
As was announced earlier by the Fire Service, there had been concern about a truck with a propane tank; however, it was ultimately found that the vehicle was empty, bringing the alert to an end.

A message was sent via the emergency number 112 shortly after 8:30 a.m.
“Fire in the area of Aspropyrgos, Attica Region. If you are in the area of Megaridos Street in Aspropyrgos, move away toward Aspropyrgos via Agiou Georgiou Street,” the message stated.
