The Patriot Guided Missile Battery of the Hellenic Force in Saudi Arabia (ELDYSA) carried out another successful interception, shooting down an additional unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) launched from Yemen.

According to the latest update, the drone was intercepted on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 17:05 (Greece time) in the Yanbu area, with the Greek Patriot battery acting in accordance with the applicable Rules of Engagement.

This marks another successful engagement by the Greek contingent on the same day. Earlier, at 11:10 (Greece time), the Greek Patriot battery had shot down another drone launched from Yemen in the same area.

The earlier drone interceptions were preceded by the successful interception of two ballistic missiles, launched from Yemen at 07:15 that morning and aimed at a major oil refinery facility in the area where the Greek Patriot battery is deployed.

According to the statement, ELDYSA continues its mission as normal as part of its participation in the international Integrated Air Missile Defense (IAMD) Concept initiative, which supports the air defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
