Authorities have proceeded with a traffic closure on the Olympia Odos, on the Patras–Pyrgos motorway in the direction of Pyrgos, due to the wildfire currently burning in the area of Tragano, Ilia.

“By order of the Traffic Police, traffic is being diverted between Kyllini and Gastouni in the direction of Pyrgos, due to a wildfire in the Tragano area of the Municipality of Pineios, Ilia,” Olympia Odos said.

A total of 49 firefighters, including one ground crew and 12 vehicles (including 22 Czech firefighters with 3 vehicles) are operating at the wildfire.
