Adonis Georgiadis today inaugurated the new Multipurpose Regional Medical Clinic on Psara, during a visit to the remote island.
In a post on X, the Minister of Health wrote, among other things, that the project represents a small gesture of gratitude to the island. He also announced a call for applications for doctors and nurses, offering free accommodation and a salary exceeding €1,500.
Mr. Georgiadis accompanied his post with a video showcasing the beauty of Psara, while also thanking the island’s mayor.

“Today, together with the Mayor of Psara, we inaugurated the brand-new Multipurpose Regional Medical Clinic of Psara. Greece owes Psara a great debt. Psara sacrificed itself for the creation of the modern Greek state, and its people remained under Turkish rule for another century so that the rest of us could be free.
Today’s project is a small gesture of our gratitude—the most beautiful Multipurpose Regional Medical Clinic in the country.
Now we must fill it with doctors and nurses. I expect tremendous interest in the call for applications that we will issue in October. Free, excellent accommodation within the medical center, an additional €1,500+ on top of the salary, and a wonderful life in paradise.
