Donald Trump said today that Russia has “lost control” of its diesel industry, while the US president reiterated his call for an end to the war between Russia and Ukraine.

“Russia has unfortunately lost control of its diesel industry because of the war with Ukraine. A large number of its diesel refineries have been blown up and are, at least temporarily, out of operation,” Trump stressed in a social media post, one day before his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

“The whole world is suffering, as 25,000 people, mostly soldiers, are killed every month. What a shame! This ridiculous and endless war with Ukraine must end,” he concluded.
