The week will be divided into two, according to the forecast by protothema.gr meteorologist Giorgos Tsatrafyllias.

Until Wednesday, we will enjoy plenty of sunshine, with northerly winds and chilly conditions at night and in the early morning. After that, however, the prevailing southerly winds will push temperatures higher, while at the same time bringing more humidity and rain.

More specifically:

For today, Tuesday, October 6, 2026, generally clear weather is expected.

Temperatures will reach 27 to 28°C in western and northern Greece, as well as in the Dodecanese. At night and in the early morning, the mercury will drop to 8°C in the northern mountainous areas and to 11°C in the remaining mountainous areas.

Winds over the seas will blow mainly from northerly directions, reaching up to 6 Beaufort in the Aegean and up to 4 Beaufort in the Ionian.

In Attica, sunny weather is expected. Temperatures will range from 13 to 25°C, while northerly winds in the east will reach 6 Beaufort.

In Thessaloniki, sunny weather is forecast. Winds in the Thermaic Gulf will be light, while the maximum temperature will reach 27°C.

The weather over the coming days

On Wednesday, generally clear weather conditions will prevail in most areas, while temperatures will rise slightly. Northerly winds in the Aegean will not exceed 6 Beaufort.

On Thursday and Friday, an atmospheric disturbance appears likely to bring rain mainly to western Greece, while on Saturday the weather phenomena will extend to the Ionian and several mainland areas. At the same time, the prevailing southerly winds will push temperatures higher and increase humidity.

On Sunday, no significant rainfall is expected, while the shift in winds to northerly directions will lead to a new drop in temperatures.
