4.2 earthquake on the Richter scale between Santorini and Amorgos

The Euro-Mediterranean also recorded the tremor – It was felt in the Cyclades

A 4.2 Richter earthquake was reported on Friday morning between Santorini and Amorgos.

According to the first data, the tremor was recorded 23 kilometres south-southwest of the village of Arkesini.

The focal depth is located at 17.1 kilometres. The initial assessment was at 4 Richter, however, a few minutes later the Geodynamic Institute of Athens revised upwards.

The tremor was recorded at 10:49 am.
